	Sony DSC-P5 3.2 Mega Pixel Digital Camera Justification - well I'm a bloke and I like new technology so I need no other justification, but of those of you who do here it is: Size- the Sony camera is small, its dimensions means it fits nicely into your pocket so you can carry it around with you at all times, important for capturing your mates accidents. Features - Movie and stills with sound give allow you to capture a greater range of moment that this expensive trip is throwing at you. Memory - I purchased an extra 128MB card with which allows for some 80 photos and the highest resolution before the needing to transfer and clear the card. To clear the card I currently download the photos into my Sony PC and burn them onto a CD.
	Sony Vaio PCG-C1 VE - This is the ultimate travelling PC with its small footprint and weight of only 1kg. . The 600Mhz Crusoe processor,12GB hard drive, 8MB video memory, and 128MB ram allows it to perform most basic office activities with no problem but high load graphic processing and video editing does suffer with slow processing. The ability of this PC to withstand the vibration and knocks from overland travel only wrapped in clothes is putting it out there as a big winner. Sony CRX10U CD-R/RW drive - This item was bought in the US at the last minute. The unit is large and bulky (nearly the size of the PC). Its resilience to vibration has been ok but would find a smaller unit next time, or even just use Internet cafe's burners and take a USB memory stick reader.
	Garmen GPS III - we acquired satellite navigation from an exchange with a set of golf clubs, but currently the golf clubs may be of more use for navigation. An oil bottle rupture in one of the panniers lubricated items that needed it not. The unit probably would have been useful if it had of been mounted and we spent the time entering waypoints, but you need good maps for that and if you have good maps why a GPS
	DC to AC converter - Converts 12 volt DC to 110 volt AC, to charge up all our electrical devices off the motorcycle battery. It big and heavy and so fare has only been used 3 times, possibly only useful if camping a lot. Next time would look for an 12 volt DC transformer to charges the items that range from 1.5 to 16 volt, maybe then would be able to get ride of all the AC adaptors.
	Walkie-Talkie - Following our initial ability to loose each other in cities and the open road (plenty of free sprit may have been the problem) we considered some form of communication. With a range of about a mile they are pretty useless, and the quality is bad so you cant use them on the bikes - a total waste of money
	Mini Disc Player - compact solution to music, good shock absorbing and excellent for drowning out the snoring of others in hostels.
