to LA.

Picked the bikes up in Oakland and headed down Highway 1 along the coast. Had a go at riding the Pismo Beach sand dunes, but not successfully. Made it to LA, where we picked up Boxy; he bought his Honda XR the next day. Also took a side trip to Six Flags on a six-lane highway.

Memorable moment.

Following the rumoured possibility of a terrorist attack to Californian bridges, we were touring the Golden Gate Bridge.

Amongst the throng of media vans was a CNN truck and reporting crew. After establishing a brief relationship with guru reporter Rusty Dornan, we were lucky enough to get her to give us a quick run down of the current situation, live for Goneriden Productions.

Highlight

Starting the adventure: getting the bikes from Oakland Port, meeting up with cousin Eric in San Francisco, and seeing my first US Halloween and the effort people make.

Pulling out of the shipping agents onto a 5 lane US interstate freeway where the slow lane is 60MPH and the fast 120Risk factor4/10

Lowlight

Receiving the delivery note before opening the box containing the motorcycles and reading that the crate was crushed, torn, and items within scratched.
